John Skinner appeared as per summons to answer the complaint of John McLoughlin and Francis Stapleton assigned servants for not giving them a proper ration....Having heard the complaints of these men against their master with respect to their rations slops and general treatment, we are of opinion that the rations are good, that they are well clad and that their complaints are altogether frivolous. We therefore award John McLoughlin the punishment of fifty lashes. We acquit Francis Stapleton with admonition as it appears he has received a good character from his master
